About this deal

Deny thy father and refuse thy name! Or if thou wilt not, be but sworn my love, and I’ll no longer be a Capulet.” And for the critical opening, really it's only 10-15 min the sharp synthetic smell is, then it gets better and better as time goes, it's very refreshing lemon after about 20min, but again worth mentioning if you try on paper and think this is not for you, you need to give it abit time before the magic starts to happend and as mentioned, the longer the better. L'HOMME ROCHAS de Rochas is a men's Eau de Toilette belonging to the Fougère Oriental fragrance family. It was launched in 2020 by the perfumer Bruno Jovanovic, who knew how to capture the modernity of the urban man without losing the chic elegance of Rochas.

Rochas is the fashion house I am really fond of. Their creations are usually very interesting by always bringing something new. For instance, Macassar, Lui, Globe, Rochas Man, Moustache. Such beautiful masculine offerings. I was somehow disappointed when L’Homme was introduced. Another amboxane bomb in a blue bottle. Another Sauvage-like shower gel for the politically correct new decade. OK, Rochas has to earn some money as well.On my skin it changes from fruity fresh to spicy-synthetic after about 90 minutes into a warm, through Tonka also sweetish scent. In this phase he acts almost romantic What I already noticed with other fragrances, L'Homme describes a bit of a daily routine. In 2015, a doctor unknown by name (perhaps a collective) then carried out the transplantation already mentioned, in which (always assuming that the official information does not lie) the classic men's base remained untouched and only the aldehydes in the upper part were removed (the citric bouquet as such remained untouched and now probably falls apart more loosely without the ribbon). The heart, however, was completely replaced. Before six flowers, now zero. Instead three kitchen herbs - and "pine" whatever that might be (upper and lower jaw? pine wood? needles?). I think I would have found the violet lily of the valley number more exciting, but unfortunately I don't know it. Too bad. I started my review in this way because the first thought that came to my mind when I tested this gem was, “Oh Rochas, Rochas, where have you been until now?” Well, as I am getting old, I don’t remember if I came across an original edition in the past, or if it happened, but now I don’t remember the smell. The fact is that in this review I will limit myself to telling the sensations that the version I own gives me without making comparisons with the original version. I have to thank @HugoMontez because it is thanks to his review that I came across this barely unknown precious gem. Or rather, I knew the perfume and its feminine counterpart, and I often saw it on the shelves, but I associated it with the common fresh and citrusy eau de cologne and therefore I did not even pay a glance to it. The @HugoMontez review opened my eyes and mind wide, and so I ran into the shop to try, and immediately buy, this masterpiece. Here we go. Neither on the perfume-photos, nor in the local Müller shelf this thing could seduce me to the test. Once I took it in my hand and had to admit that the bottle is damn good in my hand. And I sprayed. It was the only time so far that the haptic experience of a perfume bottle would have moved me to test it.

The freshness in the morning to wake up, either from fruity shower gel or the smoothie for breakfast. In the office it appears clear and structured, almost synthetic, unobtrusive and likeable. Towards the end he becomes warm and cuddly. You would just have to make sure that you are already out of the office and rather in the restaurant, in the café. Otherwise he might ask the wrong people to cuddle. To prolong the scent for longer, apply your fragrance on the inside of the wrists and behind the earlobe. These pulse zones have a higher temperature than the rest of the body, and this will help the fragrance to evaporate more slowly. Gilles Romey did a great job and this is probably one of the best citrus out there along with Eau Sauvage and Chanel Pour Monsieur. Its basically a lemon and verbena combo with a woody-resinous accord in the base, manly made with myrrh. Adds a bit of sweetness and brightness and amplifies the performance. Very distinctive and convincing. Being able to put myrrh in a citrus based scent without making it too sweet and oriental, is a masterfull job and i appreciate that a lot. I don't know what everyone always has. Hey, 30 euros, bang, bang, bang, smells good. Girlfriend: 'You smell so fresh, honey.' Me like that: "I know". What more do I want? I like this one. Nobrainer, Allrounder, Signature, Dumb-Reach, Digger, oh crap, now I can't think of any more Anglicisms. Well, sh** on it, you know what I mean. Cool release with ok performance. Runs full!"

Rochas

It is nothing completely new overall, it is also not a fragrance for nostalgics, because there is nothing classic about it. It is also not made for charismatics, unless you want to dim the charisma down. This fragrance is recommended for a male audience between 30 and 55 years old, who stand out for their masculinity and like to innovate in the olfactory field. I bought it in the end of that year, blindly. When i smelled it for the first time, it reminded me of K Eau de Toilette which i like but i find it a bit light in the drydown. So, i also liked this one, right off the bat. The problem here is that this one has some molecule that, sometimes, annoys me a bit and gives me some "headaches". This is probably a synthetic amberwood or something a-like.
