Each round has up to six winners (one for each casino), so, everyone should hopefully get to win at least one casino at some point. Although it means I don’t get to play as many games with them as I’d like to, they make for an excellent litmus test. The core game is still there for purists, but there’s also a richer and fuller experience for players that are interested in that sort of thing. If anything, it may be quicker the more players there are, as with more people, the more likely it is that someone will trigger an end game mechanic sooner. Organize the pairs from highest total to lowest total (breaking ties by which pair has the higher value card). Las Vegas Royale adds a bunch of different mini games that can be swapped in and out to vary the game play, but the perfect, elegant core of the game remains the same.
In my experience, some of these are better than the others, but there’s nothing to stop you having house rules about which stay in the box. I guess that’s the benefit of having 20 years to really figure out some neutral-sounding casino names?
