These lightweight partials are practically invisible, and completely eliminate the unsightly metal clasps. You cannot get flexible dentures on the NHS as standard, but they may be offered to patients who can't wear traditional dentures, perhaps because of allergies or another reason. You'll need to discuss this with your dentist; ultimately they will decide which type you are eligible for on the NHS.

You may want a more permanent solution that isn't removed for cleaning, for example a dental bridge, which is fixed to the adjacent teeth and can last 10 or more years. FDC Flexible Denture Cleaner is suitable for the safe cleaning of Valplast® Flexible Partials, Acrylic Dentures, Partial Dentures, Night Guards and Retainers. After forking out that much money, you'll want to make sure you know how to clean dentures, and how to maintain them. Even if they have a lifetime guarantee, this is likely with the caveat that you clean them according to the manufacturer's instructions. Flexible dentures also have a higher starting price than acrylic, so they are unlikely to be offered by the NHS. In the review, this woman claims to prefer the Valplast dentures. Not only because they are much more comfortable, but because they are much more durable than acrylic dentures. But, she does mention that you have to clean them more carefully because they are more prone to bacteria buildup. Other tooth replacement options Flexible denture costs depend on a number of factors including the dentist you go to, the brand they use, and how many teeth you need to replace. They are typically more expensive than basic acrylic dentures but more affordable than some premium options. Instead, soak your denture overnight in a solution such as Milton’s to prevent the thrush containing organisms developing Val-Clean is the recommended Valplast denture cleaner. This box of Val-Clean contains a 12-month supply. Note that unlike other types of denture cleaning tablet, you make up a batch using 1/4 of a sachet and 250ml of water, and this can be used 7-10 times before needing to be replaced. This means that one sachet lasts around a month. Soak your appliance in Val-Clean® Denture Cleanser for 10-15 minutes daily. You may also soak your appliance overnight 3 times a week for effective cleaning. Taking care of your dentures is simple but it just requires you to make sure you do this regularly. At Spa Dental Clinic, we recommend you do the following:

The use of toothpaste may scratch or dull the surface of your appliance. Be sure to remove your appliance when brushing your natural teeth. Store brands of denture cleaner are not recommended for cleaning a Valplast ® appliance, as they are not effective and may contain ingredients that can damage the Valplast ®or its color. Remove your denture before brushing your teeth, as it can be damaged by an abrasive toothpaste and toothbrush I've had one since January for one of my top front teeth and got on great with it. Easy to fit and clean, and looks very natural. It's stable for eating and comfortable. The plastic used is so strong that the partial made from it can be very thin, eliminating that heavy, bulky feeling that make wearing partials so unpleasant. When cleaning your denture, do so with a hand towel in your washbasin or fill the washbasin with water to prevent you from dropping the dentures and breaking them – this is really common! Valplast appliances are very durable and are designed to give long term performance under normal usage. Please note that the Valplast base material will resist fracture or breakage better than the synthetic teeth that are embedded in it.. Small accidents such as dropping the appliance in the sink or on the floor will not damage the Valplast, but may cause the teeth to fracture. Please handle the appliance with care. Semi-flexible full dentures cost a similar amount, again with prices varying according to the materials used. Can you get flexible dentures on the NHS? Loose particles can be removed with the use of a sonic denture cleaner, or by placing the appliance under running water. Brushing a Valplast appliance with a tooth brush is not recommended as this may remove the polish and roughen the surface over time. However, the use of the Flexible Denture Brush will not harm your Valplast denture.
